Příští setkání Pražské Czech Java User Group
proběhne ve středu 25.10. od 19h v posluchárně S5 na
Matematicko-fyzikální fakultě Karlovy Univerzity na
Malostranském náměstí 25, Praha 1. Vstup na akce
CZJUGu je zdarma, a není třeba se předem registrovat.
Pokud se chystáte přijít, dejte nám vědět formou
hlasování v anketě na hlavní stránce portálu java.cz
nebo přihlášením na tuto událost na facebooku.

Občerstvení (pizza) bude zajištěno.

Setkání tentokrát proběhne ve středu, protože
přednáška je součásti rozsáhlejší internetové
konference VJUG24, která nabízí 24 přednášek v
průběhu 24 hodin a je pořádaná virtuální Java User
Group VirtualJUG. Náš JUG je partnerem této
konference a bude oficiálně účastníkem přednášky,
která se koná od 19:00. Díky tomu máme zajištěno i
občerstvení (asi pizza a pití jak bývá zvykem) a taky
trička a další předměty pro účastníky konference. Ve
stejném čase se akce zúčastní i CZJUG v dalších
městech, se kterými budeme v kontaktu.

Session title: The diabolical developer’s guide to
java/jvm performance tuning

Abstract:

Got a call saying that your JVM application is too
slow? The Diabolical Developer introduces a
diagnostic model which focuses on how to hone into
the root cause of a bottleneck and what steps you can
take to fix it. After this, you’ll only take hours,
not days to fix Java/JVM performance issues.

Speaker: Martijn Verburg

Martijn Verburg (aka ‘the Diabolical Developer’),
CTO of jClarity, herds Cats in the Java/open source
communities and is constantly humbled by the creative
power to be found there!

Currently he resides in London where he co-leads the
London JUG (a JCP EC member), runs the Adopt a JSR
and Adopt OpenJDK programs and drinks good beer at
his local pub. You can find him online facilitating
development of FOSS projects (PCGen and Ikasan),
moderating at the Javaranch or discussing (ranting
about?) subjects on the Programmers Stack
Exchange.

 

He’s become a regular (diabolical) speaker at
conferences on Java, FOSS and software development
and has recently wrapped up his first Manning title –
“The Well-Grounded Java Developer” with his co-author
Ben Evans. @karianna

This meeting is a part of a virtual conference
called VJUG24. The conference runs 24 sessions over a
24 hour period and our JUG was officially selected to
attend one of the sessions. The conference will
